Khopra Ridge Community Trek
Six days on a community-run ridge at 3,660 m, staring across the Kali Gandaki at the Dhaulagiri wall.
Khopra is what Poon Hill was thirty years ago. The lodges are owned by village cooperatives — your bed money builds schools in Narchyang. The ridge itself is a front-row seat to Dhaulagiri, and most days you’ll count more yaks than trekkers.
Why you'll love it
- Khopra Danda lodge at 3,660 m, run by the villages below it
- The full 8,167 m Dhaulagiri wall straight across the Kali Gandaki gorge
- Quiet ridge trail away from the Ghorepani traffic
- Community-owned: beds and meals fund the villages, not an outside operator
- Extendable to Khayar Lake at 4,665 m if you want the hard version
