World Peace Pagoda Loop
A boat across Phewa and forest steps up to the stupa, then a loop home past Devi's Falls.
This easy half day starts with a wooden boat across Phewa Lake. From the far shore it's forty minutes up shady forest steps to the white dome of the Peace Pagoda, with Pokhara spread out below. On the way home we loop past Devi's Falls and into the Gupteshwor cave shrine, and you're back in Lakeside in time for lunch.

Questions before you book
Can I drive up instead?
Yes, there's a road and taxis go up. You miss the boat and the forest, which are most of the appeal, but it's the right call if walking is difficult.
Is there an entry fee?
The stupa itself is free. You pay for the boat across, and the rates are posted at the jetty.
Best time of day?
Early morning for the clearest mountains, late afternoon for the nicest light and sunset over the lake. Midday is hot and hazy, and we'd skip it.
Is it right for my fitness?
World Peace Pagoda Loop is graded Easy and tops out at 1,113 m. In our Trek Finder it comes up for walkers who pick “First-timer or casual walker” or a harder answer. Tell us how much walking you’ve done and we’ll tell you whether it fits.
Do I pay anything online?
